Biography

Rojhat Avsar, PhD, is Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Communication and Culture. He teaches courses on behavioral economics, ethics, data literacy, and artificial intelligence.

He employs experiential and experimental pedagogies in the classroom to break complex subjects down. 聽

Dr. Avsar earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Utah.

His current research has been motivated by his fascination with the nuances of human sociality and our species' capacity to create complex economic and social institutions. He is the author of two books and many peer-reviewed articles.
