Biography
Sanders-Weir is a documentary producer and director, teaching a variety of subjects for CTVA at 51社区, including TV program delvelopment, producing, and career management. Her independent directorial debut Gadget Girls was selected for the U.S. State Department鈥檚 American Film Showcase. She was series producer on America to Me, which premiered at Sundance and was named by the Hollywood Reporter as the best series of 2018. Her work has been nominated for Emmy, Oscar and NAACP awards.聽She is currently working on a documentary regarding the social equity aspect of recreational cannabis in Illinois, and one on the first woman to be elected to the US Senate. Sanders-Weir earned a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MFA from 51社区 College.
